We read the book <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Tree-Trail-Holling-C\/dp\/039554534X\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tree in the Trail<\/a> a few times and then colored in this map together with the assistance of his older brother. It was a fun story and a great geography lesson.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Hand Colored Tree in the Trail Map by prayingmother, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/prayingmother\/15353402151\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Hand Colored Tree in the Trail Map\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3907\/15353402151_99a6780929.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful Feet offers an entire <a href=\"http:\/\/bfbooks.com\/Geography-Through-Literature-Pack-PB?sc=17&amp;category=14\" target=\"_blank\">geography course based on four of the Holling C. Holling books<\/a> and make and sell the <a href=\"http:\/\/bfbooks.com\/Geography-Map-Set\" target=\"_blank\">corresponding maps<\/a>. The maps are beautiful, but I didn&#8217;t feel like making an entire unit study at the time, so we just read the book and looked at an atlas to figure a few things out that were mentioned in the book.
